Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Kremer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Bodies/Drowning pool as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kirk Gracie has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matt Kremer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Kremer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kirk Gracie! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kremer has his takedown stuffed and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Kremer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kremer manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Kremer's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kremer is keeping the position for now. Gracie showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kremer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kremer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kremer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kremer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kremer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie wants to control from the top but Kremer keeps moving. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Kremer is retaining full guard. Kremer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie is stalling in the full guard. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Kremer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kremer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well. Gracie wants to control from the top but Kremer keeps moving.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kirk Gracie wasn't active enough on the ground. Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kremer manages to avoid it. Gracie looks to land a right hand but Kremer moved out of range. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Kremer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Kremer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kremer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kremer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Kremer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kirk Gracie! A relieved looking Kirk Gracie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
