The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King tries to clinch but Jacobs moves out of range.
King tries to clinch up.
King shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs shows good takedown defense.
Jacobs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jacobs closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jacobs is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jacobs looking to control but King is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

King has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacobs is working away from the top position though.
Jacobs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jacobs wants to finish this one by submission but King is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jacobs.

King is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

King is bucking up trying to escape but Jacobs cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jacobs prevents King from getting the reversal.
King tries to hold on but Jacobs postures up.
King regains half guard.

King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jacobs trying to stand up but can't free himself from King's guard.

Jacobs decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
King misses with a two punch combination.

and Jacobs counters with a shoot takedown. King fights it but they end up in guard.

King gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Jacobs lands a big shot there that rocks King but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Jacobs postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. King looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jacobs cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

and Jacobs counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for King!
King is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

King's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
