Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Turris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Strauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strauss is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shutterbugg - Big Boi Feat. Cutty. Daniel Strauss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Turris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Strauss! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strauss swinging wildly here.
Sloppy strikes from Strauss. Those never looked like landing. Strauss swings for the body but Turris moves out of range.
Strauss misses the body punch and Turris counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Turris swings widly with a right hand
letting Strauss counter with a right hand. Strauss shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Turris eats them both and turns towards Strauss to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Strauss connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Kyle Turris has been cut. Turris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Strauss manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Good exchange - Strauss coming out on top. Turris lands with a cross.
It looks like Daniel Strauss has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Strauss avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Strauss throws an overhand right that lands on Turris's shoulder, as Turris tries to avoid the shot. Strauss has Turris up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strauss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Turris waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Strauss. Strauss thows a body shot but no joy. Turris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Strauss to score with a decent uppercut. Strauss walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Turris checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Strauss gets in close and instigates a clinch. Strauss misses with some punches.
A short uppercut from Turris. Turris changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Strauss fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Turris shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Turris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Turris lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Strauss hang on? Strauss blocking the ground and pound. Strauss avoids a series of strikes thrown by Turris.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Turris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Strauss is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Strauss tries to lock up and control but Turris gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turris controlling the pace for now. Turris throwing strikes here but Strauss is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Turris controlling the position easily from mount. Strauss is desperately trying to improve his position but Turris has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Turris will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Strauss dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Turris fails with an attempt to clinch.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Strauss in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Strauss ducks under a wild hook from Turris. Strauss moves into the clinch. Turris makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Strauss blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Strauss tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Strauss blocks an elbow strike from Turris.

That's one minute gone in the round. Turris gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Turris lands with a punch from half guard. Strauss won't allow Turris to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turris looks to land a strike but Strauss avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Turris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Strauss is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strauss is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turris is controlling him. Strauss working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Turris. Turris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Strauss can do anything to dispel that myth. Strauss can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turris controls the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Strauss lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Strauss throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Daniel Strauss is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strauss throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Turris stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Strauss misses with the combination.
Strauss forces Turris back against the cage and clinches. A short uppercut from Strauss. Turris stalling in the clinch but Strauss improves position. Turris misses with some punches.

Turris is looking for a takedown. Strauss lands with a short head shot on the inside. Strauss swings wildly with an uppercut but Turris uses good head movement to avoid it. Strauss working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Strauss fails to land. Strauss lands an elbow just above Turris 's eye. Turris is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Strauss is keeping busy. Turris can't get the takedown.
Turris has hold of one of Strauss's legs. Strauss is fighting the takedown attempt but Turris gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Strauss utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Turris won't allow Strauss to sweep him here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turris throwing strikes from guard but Strauss blocks nicely. Strauss keeping full guard, as Turris tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Turris counters with a three punch combo that has Strauss backing up. Strauss nods at Turris to acknowledge the strikes. Strauss throws a jab but it's blocked by Turris. Strauss has managed to clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Turris is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Turris. Strauss lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Daniel Strauss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kyle Turris. Strauss misses the shot to the body. Turris uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Strauss.
Strauss tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turris was well out of range. Poor timing from Strauss. Strauss throws a combination that misses and Turris counters with a stiff right hand. Strauss throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turris wants to clinch. Strauss fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strauss throws a combination that misses and Turris counters with a straight right hand. Turris takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Strauss closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Turris is rocked! Strauss misses with a series of wild punches.
Oh Turris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Strauss clinches with his opponent.
Turris seems to have got his legs back now. Strauss letting Turris take a breather here. Turris throws an elbow that misses.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strauss creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kyle Turris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Strauss as Turris tries to tie him up. Turris is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Strauss gets through Turris's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Strauss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Strauss moves into range and clinches up with Turris. Turris is trying to maintain a safe position but Strauss gets an underhook and turns Turris into the cage. Strauss misses with a hook from the clinch. Turris throws an elbow but it's blocked.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turris pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Strauss swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Turris avoids a wild elbow strike from Strauss. Turris tries to stall but Strauss uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Strauss comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Turris has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
