Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Djanki Manki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Djanki Manki!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manki lands a two punch combo.
Manki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Manki slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Manki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Manki lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones sizes up Manki with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jones connects with a body shot.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Manki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Djanki Manki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An inside leg kick from Manki misses.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Manki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A jab lands there for Manki.
Manki throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Manki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones tests Manki's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Manki counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Manki to acknowledge the strikes.
Manki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Manki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Manki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Manki showed some decent athleticism there.

Manki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Manki controlling the pace.
Jones tries to roll over but Manki keeps him under control.
Manki slows the pace down in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Djanki Manki.
Jones connects with a right hand. Manki shakes it off.
Manki bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Manki fails with the takedown.
Jones cracks Manki with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Manki tries to clinch up.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Manki.
Jones fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Manki is out of range.
John Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Manki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones leaves Manki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
John Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Djanki Manki.
Manki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Manki doesn't seem phased though.

Manki misses with the combination.

Manki takes the fight into the clinch.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Manki has him pressed against the cage.

Manki jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Manki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Manki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Manki passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Manki passes the guard and advances to mount!
Manki controlling his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Manki working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jones turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Manki off and cradles Jones's limp body as Manki celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Djanki Manki!
