Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sub Zero is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sub Zero!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero blocks the body kick.
Newman dodges the punch combination from Zero.
Newman takes a swing at Zero's ribcage but misses.
Newman misses with a combination
and Zero counters with a one-two to the body.
Zero fails with an attempt to clinch.
Newman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zero looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circling - Newman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nate Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newman cracks a nice hook into Zero's ribs.
Zero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Newman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zero wants to clinch up but Newman keeps it at a distance.
Newman throws a lazy uppercut
and Zero counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Newman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zero.
Zero takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Sub Zero has been cut.
Zero throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Newman throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Newman throws a hook to the side of Zero's head but Zero sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Zero throws a right and a left that Newman avoids nicely.
Newman thuds his right hand into Zero's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Newman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zero.
Newman throws a quick inside leg kick.
Zero fails with an attempt to clinch.
Zero is looking to clinch.
Zero lands a two punch combo.
Newman digs a good hook to Zero's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Newman thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Zero if he has to take too many more of those.
Zero looks gassed!
A decent looking cross lands there for Newman.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Newman thows a body shot but no joy.
Newman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Zero on the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Newman. Zero does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zero takes one on the button.
Newman lands a big head kick that sends Zero tumbling to the mat! Newman takes a step backwards and waves Zero back to his feet - he wants the finish!
That has opened up Sub Zero's cut even more.
Newman misses with a low kick as Zero jumps back.
Newman catches Zero with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The cut above Sub Zero's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Newman lands a glancing blow to the side of Zero's head.
Zero throws a series of punches but Newman moves out of range.
Newman thuds a left hand into Zero's body.
Zero tries to clinch up.
Newman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A nice combination there by Zero.
Crunch! Newman slams his shin into Zero's torso.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Newman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Newman throws a jab when Zero was well out of range.

Sub Zero's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sub Zero's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Nate Newman!
An out of breath Nate Newman thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
