Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tesco Vee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vee has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple man as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vee trying to work for an americana but Ferrari has managed to regain full guard.
Vee scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ferrari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ferrari has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ferrari closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vee quickly recovers to half guard.

Vee is looking for a sweep. Ferrari is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ferrari seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mario Ferrari just wasn't active enough.
Ferrari shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Vee makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Vee throws a nice looking combination but Ferrari bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ferrari.
Tesco Vee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vee ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Vee fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ferrari on the side of the head.

Vee drives through and clinches with Ferrari against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Ferrari's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Ferrari throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vee's waist but Vee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferrari off to one side.
Ferrari shoots in for a takedown but Vee shows good takedown defense.

Vee walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ferrari checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Vee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That kick from Vee tenderised Ferrari's leg. Ferrari is trying to keep his angry face on.

Vee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Vee enables Ferrari to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Vee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ferrari's guard.
Ferrari utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Vee creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ferrari has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vee after a bit of a struggle.
Ferrari throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Ferrari drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vee gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ferrari has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Tesco Vee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Ferrari looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vee is fending him off so far but Ferrari persists. Nope, Vee circles away and we're back to standing.

Tesco Vee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
