Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Wiesenthal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiesenthal's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Who By Fire. Mercer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kid CuDi - Wylin Cuz I'm Young kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Clay Mercer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Wiesenthal! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Mercer! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercer looks to land a right hand but Wiesenthal moved out of range. Wiesenthal connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mercer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wiesenthal. Mercer throws an off balance right hand
and Wiesenthal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Clay Mercer has been cut. Wiesenthal misses the jab. Mercer looks to score with a jab to the body but Wiesenthal is just out of range. Wiesenthal throws the left hand but Mercer avoids the punch easily. A jab from Wiesenthal misses. Mercer misses with a head kick.
Mercer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wiesenthal swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mercer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wiesenthal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mercer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Wiesenthal staying out of range there. Mercer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wiesenthal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiesenthal throws a quick inside leg kick. Wiesenthal clobbers Mercer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wiesenthal falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wiesenthal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wiesenthal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mercer counters with a left and a right that stings Wiesenthal. Mercer lands with a thumping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mercer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wiesenthal. Mercer blocks a leg kick. Wiesenthal throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mercer counters with a series of strikes. Wiesenthal will be more careful next time no doubt. A head kick misses from Mercer. Mercer connects with a crisp jab. Wiesenthal throws a poor cross that misses
and Mercer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A big right from Wiesenthal misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wiesenthal shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mercer but Mercer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mercer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wiesenthal throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mercer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wiesenthal was well out of range. Poor timing from Mercer. A slow jab from Mercer misses its intended target. Mercer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. A nice leg kick lands there from Wiesenthal. A head kick misses from Mercer. Wiesenthal takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Clay Mercer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wiesenthal moves away from the strike by Mercer. Wiesenthal misses with a right hand and Mercer counters with a straight right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sloppy strikes from Wiesenthal. Those never looked like landing. Wiesenthal lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wiesenthal takes one to the chin there. Wiesenthal connects with an inside leg kick. Wiesenthal throws a leg kick and Mercer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mercer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Wiesenthal ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mercer misses with a body kick. Wiesenthal does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mercer thows a body shot but no joy. Simon Wiesenthal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wiesenthal avoids the body shot from Mercer.
A combination from Mercer does no damage. Wiesenthal misses with a combination
and Mercer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wiesenthal takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wiesenthal throws the left hand but Mercer avoids the punch easily. Wiesenthal throws out a loose jab but Mercer uses good head movement to avoid it. Mercer ducks under a wild hook from Wiesenthal. Mercer slips a straight right by Wiesenthal. Mercer throws a nice looking combination but Wiesenthal bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wiesenthal misses the jab. Wiesenthal throws a body punch but Mercer moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wiesenthal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mercer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wiesenthal was well out of range. Poor timing from Mercer. Wiesenthal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Clay Mercer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Clay Mercer's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wiesenthal looks to score with a jab to the body but Mercer is just out of range. Mercer checks a low kick from Wiesenthal. Mercer misses with a jab, cross combination.

Clay Mercer seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mercer throws a right hand that Wiesenthal ducks under and follows up with a left that Wiesenthal also avoids with ease. Wiesenthal looks to throw the jab but Mercer is out of range. Mercer is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Mercer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wiesenthal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wiesenthal throws the left hand but Mercer avoids the punch easily. Some wild striking there from Wiesenthal.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mercer throws a hook but Wiesenthal blocks it. Wiesenthal keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Wiesenthal throws a half hearted mid kick. Wiesenthal misses with a looping right. A looping hook to the body misses from Wiesenthal. Mercer does a little dance to reset his feet. Mercer lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wiesenthal feints and then cracks Mercer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mercer down. Wiesenthal misses with a lunging right hand
and Mercer counters with a head kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Wiesenthal misses with an uppercut. Wiesenthal throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wiesenthal swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mercer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wiesenthal's knee momentarily. Wiesenthal blocks a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wiesenthal. Mercer moves out of range as Wiesenthal strikes. Wiesenthal throws a shot from downtown. Mercer moves away and avoids it. Wiesenthal shoots and misses letting Mercer counter with a right hand. Mercer scores with a jab to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wiesenthal walks into a jab. Wiesenthal has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wiesenthal there as he acknowledges the shot. Wiesenthal throws a combination that misses and Mercer counters with a crisp one two that drops Wiesenthal! Mercer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Wiesenthal to his feet! Wiesenthal is in big trouble!
Wiesenthal is rocked! Wiesenthal leaves his chin hanging out and Mercer seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Wiesenthal crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clay Mercer! Clay Mercer is the new light heavyweight champion! Clay Mercer seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
