Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peeta Mellark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peeta Mellark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Derek Riggs! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riggs throws out a powerful jab. A bone on bone clash there as Riggs blocks the leg kick.
Riggs throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A swing and a miss from Riggs. Mellark takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mellark gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mellark tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Riggs is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mellark buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mellark!! Mellark is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Riggs throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derek Riggs! After winning the bout, Derek Riggs thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
