Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gio Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naza comes to the cage accompanied by Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bean's choice of entrance music: Raising Hell. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Gio Naza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Bean!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Bean does no damage.
Bean keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Naza misses with a straight right.
Naza throws a leg kick but Bean checks it.
Bean misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed right hand from Naza misses the target.
Naza misses with a body shot
and Bean counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Naza throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bean was covering up waiting for the punch and Naza finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Naza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bean wants to stand but Naza is controlling the position.
Naza throws a strike but Bean rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bean loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bean has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Naza is proving hard to escape from.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Naza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bean manages to avoid it.
Bean tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Naza is looking to chop away at Bean's legs.
Bean moves in looking to clinch but Naza pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bean looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Naza thuds a left hand into Bean's body.
Bean slaps away a takedown attempt from Naza, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bean keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Naza is looking to wear down Bean with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Naza just misses with a punch to the body.
Naza bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Bean stalks Naza and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Naza's face. Naza staggers backwards, shaken.
Ron Bean is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Naza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gio Naza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Naza throws a leg kick but Bean sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Bean uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Naza.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Gio Naza will probably get the nod.

Bean tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Naza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ron Bean is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Naza throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bean sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Naza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bean throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Naza's head.

Naza shoots in for a double leg but Bean sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Naza throws a low kick but Bean avoids it.
A left and a right from Naza both land. Nice combination.
Naza waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bean.
Bean scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Naza is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Naza stands up over Bean, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Naza won't allow Bean to get back to his feet.

Some bone on bone action there as Bean checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Naza shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bean is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Naza misses with a head shot. Bean uses the momentum to regain guard.

Bean pushes Naza off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Bean checks a low kick from Naza.
Naza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bean swivels and escapes.

Bean drives through and clinches with Naza against the cage.

Bean breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Naza looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bean is fending him off so far but Naza persists. Nope, Bean circles away and we're back to standing.
Naza takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Naza throws a solid leg kick but Bean takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Naza.

Naza bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Naza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bean moves away.
Naza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bean.
Bean avoids the body shot from Naza.
Ron Bean seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Naza looks to land a left hand but Bean moved out of range nicely.

and Bean counters with a three punch combo that has Naza backing up. Naza nods at Bean to acknowledge the strikes.

Bean misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Naza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gio Naza will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
