Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Stenemo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Diaz's choice of entrance music: National Anthem. Kim Stenemo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kim Stenemo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Diaz! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stenemo pinned against the cage. Stenemo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stenemo with a lazy takedown attempt and Diaz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Diaz. Stenemo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Diaz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stenemo is proving hard to escape from. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diaz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stenemo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stenemo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Stenemo is looking to sweep but instead, Diaz has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz wants to stand but Stenemo has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Diaz passes to full mount! Diaz looking to control but Stenemo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Diaz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diaz punishing his opponent with strikes. Diaz moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stenemo has worked his arm free - good work by Stenemo!
Diaz looks gassed! Stenemo is looking to reverse the position. Diaz advances nicely into full mount. Diaz with a couple of short strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stenemo is bucking up trying to escape but Diaz cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Diaz landing shots from mount. Stenemo is in a horrible position here. Diaz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Stenemo is looking to improve his position but Diaz isn't that keen on the idea. Stenemo is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz trying to control but he's not successful this time. Stenemo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stenemo is looking to escape. Diaz goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stenemo is on top in guard.

Stenemo has his takedown stuffed and Diaz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stenemo can't keep his opponent in guard - Diaz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Diaz wants to control but Stenemo is keeping him busy. Diego Diaz has got the better of the ground game so far. Diaz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Stenemo's temple. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stenemo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Diaz scores with a couple of nice shots. Diaz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stenemo keeps working. Diaz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diaz tries to control but Stenemo wriggling away. Diaz is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stenemo is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Stenemo manages to regain half guard. Good work. Stenemo regains full guard. Nicely done. Stenemo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Diaz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stenemo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Diaz's back instead. Diaz tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stenemo is cranking Diaz's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Diaz! He's tightened the choke and Diaz is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kim Stenemo!
