The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Karhu fails in his attempt to clinch.

Karhu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Korhonen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Karhu's guard.
Korhonen stands up over Karhu, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Korhonen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karhu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Karhu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Korhonen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Korhonen's back!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Karhu. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Korhonen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Korhonen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Karhu is on top in guard.

Korhonen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Karhu manages to get himself to full guard.

Korhonen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Karhu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Korhonen has Karhu in his guard.
Karhu passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Karhu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Korhonen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Korhonen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Karhu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Karhu stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Karhu gets the takedown into side control.
Korhonen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Korhonen wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Karhu has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Korhonen's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Korhonen is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Karhu!
