The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lloyed throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hassel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hassel throws a looping overhand right but Lloyed ducks down to avoid it.

Lloyed stuns Hassel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Lloyed will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Lloyed has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hassel finds it's way round the side to connect with Lloyed's head.

Lloyed lands a nice shot that snaps Hassel's head back.
Josh Lloyed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lloyed stalks Hassel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hassel's face. Hassel staggers backwards, shaken.

Lloyed feints and then cracks Hassel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hassel down.

Lloyed is trying to pull guard but Hassel has him pressed against the cage.
Lloyed tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lloyed is trying to break free.
A head punch on the inside from Hassel fails to land.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hassel gets through Lloyed's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Lloyed creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Lloyed tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hassel just stands there and leans against the cage.
Chris Hassel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Lloyed.
Hassel has a couple of punches blocked by Lloyed.
Lloyed tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Lloyed jumps guard but Hassel turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lloyed tries to land knees in the clinch but Hassel avoids the damage to the body.

Hassel pushes Lloyed back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hassel steps in with a hook that catches Lloyed right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Hassel follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Lloyed looks absolutely devastated.

A relieved looking Chris Hassel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
