Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack McNoGood! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown wants to clinch. McNoGood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively. McNoGood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from McNoGood enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McNoGood manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Brown is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McNoGood's guard. Brown is trying to work for a kimura but McNoGood is defending well.
Brown is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McNoGood defends it well. Still in half guard, Brown seems content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is stalling here. McNoGood is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brown seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McNoGood has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. You can see the frustration on Brown's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brown wants to get back to his feet but McNoGood drags him back down. Brown manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Brown is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McNoGood pulls his head out easily. Brown looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Brown wants to get back to full guard. McNoGood thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brown's head.

Brown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McNoGood defends it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McNoGood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McNoGood throws a big elbow that misses. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! McNoGood postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Brown working a defensive guard here.
McNoGood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McNoGood has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNoGood throws a big elbow that misses. Brown wants to sweep here but McNoGood controlling him for the moment. McNoGood throws a sloppy strike and Brown has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! McNoGood is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Brown!
