The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McBride sprawls well. McBride wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.
Thomas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thomas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McBride catches Thomas napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Thomas to the canvas!

It looks like Jake Thomas has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McBride cracks Thomas with a solid left hand.

McBride postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Thomas covers up, he's hurt! McBride keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from McBride and the ref steps in to end the fight! McBride can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
