Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Lindel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clyde Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindel comes to the cage accompanied by Clawfinger - Biggest & The Best . Turner has chosen The Champ is Here as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikael Lindel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Clyde Turner!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Turner. Those never looked like landing.
The crowd cheers as Lindel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Turner doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Clyde Turner has been cut.
Turner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lindel shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense.
Turner misses with a wild combination.
Turner falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lindel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Turner won't be happy with that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lindel misses with the ground and pound.
Turner is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner stops Lindel from passing to mount.
Lindel tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Lindel creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Turner sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lindel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turner keeps working.

Lindel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Turner taking punishment in the form of punches.
Lindel lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The strikes coming from Lindel are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Lindel in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Lindel working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Lindel controlling from side mount.
Turner is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lindel is controlling him well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lindel tries for a kimura but Turner is defending well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lindel throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Lindel tries to move to mount but Turner blocks the move with his legs.
Lindel is looking to take a break and control but Turner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A lull in the action here.
Lindel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lindel is working Turner over with some ground and pound from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A lull in the action here as Lindel stalls from top position.
Turner takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mikael Lindel dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Clyde Turner's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Turner gets caught flat footed, as Lindel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mikael Lindel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lindel's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Turner keeping moving, preventing Lindel from controlling successfully.
Lindel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Turner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lindel controlling from the top position.
Lindel trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lindel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mikael Lindel just wasn't active enough.
Turner throws a right and a left that both miss.

Lindel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lindel showed some decent athleticism there.

Lindel works his foot free and advances to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lindel with shots to the head and body - Turner looks very uncomfortable down there.


The cut above Clyde Turner's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Clyde Turner's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Clyde Turner's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mikael Lindel!
