Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samson's entrance music is The Venture Brothers Opening Theme. A fine choice. McGuire has chosen Daddy Never Was The Cadillac Kind as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samson throws out a loose jab but McGuire uses good head movement to avoid it.
Samson walks into a jab.
McGuire throws a hook but Samson blocks it.
Samson shoots in looking for a takedown but McGuire manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Samson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McGuire thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Samson if he has to take too many more of those.
McGuire scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGuire fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Samson throws a lazy right hand but McGuire sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McGuire lands a jab to Samson's midsection.
McGuire comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McGuire gets a clinch.
McGuire stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGuire lands a shoulder strike.
Samson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGuire gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McGuire breaks the clinch.
McGuire swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McGuire shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Samson throws a poor cross that misses
and McGuire counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McGuire fails to land with a series of punches.
Samson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McGuire is able to avoid easily.

Samson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

McGuire feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Samson's calf.
A looping hook to the body misses from McGuire. Samson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Samson throws a front kick aimed at McGuire's knee but McGuire avoids it well.
McGuire scores with a sloppy right hand. Samson should have avoided that one.

and McGuire counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McGuire scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
McGuire fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Samson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McGuire punishes Samson's body with a nice straight punch.
McGuire misses with a double jab.

McGuire stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McGuire thumps Samson with a low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Samson tries to close the distance and clinch but McGuire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A combination from McGuire does no damage.
McGuire throws the kick towards the body but Samson avoids it.
McGuire is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Samson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Oh, that's a big right hand from McGuire and Samson goes tumbling to the canvas! McGuire follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
McGuire misses with a head shot. Samson uses the momentum to regain guard.

McGuire is looking to work some ground and pound but Samson has wrist control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McGuire stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The crowd cheers as McGuire lands an impressive looking overhand right. Samson doesn't seem phased though.
Samson tests McGuire's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McGuire misses with a wild body shot.
McGuire has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
McGuire takes one to the side of the head.
Samson blocks a head kick by McGuire.
Brock Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire throws a leg kick but Samson moved away.
McGuire throws a low kick but it's checked well by Samson.

Samson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McGuires jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

McGuire does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McGuire has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A left lands for McGuire.
McGuire throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McGuire throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGuire throws a hook to the side of Samson's head but Samson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

McGuire doesn't manage to clinch there - Samson circles away.
McGuire misses with an uppercut. Samson saw that one coming.

McGuire dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Samson. That did some damage!

McGuire is working Samson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
McGuire is in close to Samson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Samson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McGuire controls the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGuire accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ralph McGuire showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McGuire lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McGuire throws a leg kick but Samson sees it coming and moves out of range.
McGuire uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Samson.
McGuire drops Samson with a big left hand and mounts him. Samson is in big trouble!

McGuire postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Samson out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! McGuire goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
