With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Attilius!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attilius throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Attilius misses with a few strikes there.
Firestone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Attilius avoids it really well and circles away.
Firestone goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Attilius fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Firestone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Attilius sprawls well. Attilius wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Firestone gets slowly back to his feet.
Attilius misses the shot to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Attilius. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Attilius.


It looks like Jay Firestone has been cut.
Firestone slips a jab and a cross from Attilius.
Firestone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Attilius paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Marcus Attilius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Firestone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Attilius won't be happy with that.

Attilius is looking to get back to his feet here but Firestone is keeping cool and he's managed to take Attilius's back.

Attilius is trying to defend against the choke here but Firestone has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Firestone Tightens the hold and Attilius taps out furiously! Firestone displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jay Firestone!
A relieved looking Jay Firestone thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
