Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meat Shield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meat Shield has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lincoln Bashor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meat Shield! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shield misses with a two punch combination.
Bashor shoots in but Shield avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shield looks to land a combination. Bashor sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Lincoln Bashor has been cut. Shield lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nice sprawl there from Shield as Bashor shoots in. Shield fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bashor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Bashor shoots in looking for a takedown but Shield manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bashor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lincoln Bashor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bashor walks into a stiff left hand from Shield. Shield swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bashor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shield! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shield's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Bashor sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Shield tries to hold on but Bashor postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bashor working the ground and pound effectively.

Bashor lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Shield really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bashor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bashor is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shield can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Bashor controlling the pace for now. Bashor working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bashor controlling the position easily from mount. Bashor with the ground and pound from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shield wants to control but Bashor is having none of it. Bashor raining down shots from the mount! Bashor lands a big shot there that rocks Shield but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shield can do anything to dispel that myth. Shield squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Bashor lands a heavy elbow. Bashor avoids the attempt from Shield to control. Bashor is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shield can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Bashor controlling from mount. Shield sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shield taking some punishment here, with Bashor in his half guard. Bashor works his way into side control. Bashor is working Shield over with some ground and pound from side control. Shield is trying to control Bashor's posture but Bashor avoids it. Bashor creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bashor scores with a couple of short elbows. Bashor works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Bashor working the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bashor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bashor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bashor is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shield is not content to let Bashor control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Check out the look on Bashor's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bashor working away. Shield takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Bashor grinds an elbow into Shield's temple. Bashor misses with the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lincoln Bashor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lincoln Bashor's cut. That's time! Bashor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A right-left combo lands from Shield. Bashor looks for a takedown but Shield sprawls well. Shield throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Shield scores with a body shot.
Shield lands with an uppercut that bounces Bashor off the cage and back into range. Shield lands a left and a right that send Bashor crashing to the mat, dazed. Shield thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Bashor is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shield displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bashor. Oh Bashor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shield lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bashor at a distance.
Shield connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Bashor to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Shield!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Meat Shield!
