Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Dillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Encarnacao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Encarnacao will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Dillard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Encarnacao! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillard gets a takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Encarnacao is defending against the submission attempts here by Dillard.
Encarnacao is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Dillard works his way into side control. Dillard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Encarnacao tries to buck Dillard off but Dillard is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Encarnacao can't do much from the bottom here. Encarnacao tries to buck Dillard off but Dillard is having none of it. Dillard decides to stand back up. Dillard looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Encarnacao! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dillard stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Encarnacao connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dillard momentarily.
Dillard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dillard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Encarnacao is keeping the position for now. Dillard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dillard passes Encarnacao's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillard trying to mount his opponent but Encarnacao defends it. Dillard is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Encarnacao sees it coming and defends easily. Encarnacao gets back to full guard.

Encarnacao is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillard preventing the sweep. Encarnacao is trying to keep Dillard in close.
Dillardis looking to pass into half guard but Encarnacao pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Encarnacao is in guard. Dillard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dillard is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Encarnacao defends well. Encarnacao stands and throws Dillard's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dillard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Encarnacao wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Encarnacao takes a little break here. Dillard wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Dillard is trying to buck Encarnacao off. Dillard throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Dillard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Encarnacao gets back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Encarnacao is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dillard drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Encarnacao dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Dillard dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dillard looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dillard looking for a submission but Encarnacao manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Encarnacao has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dillard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Encarnacao can't keep his opponent in guard - Dillard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dillard is looking for a kimura here.
Dillard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Encarnacao doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dillard.

Encarnacao controlling the position well. Encarnacao wants to improve his position but Dillard is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Encarnacao wants to control but Dillard is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dillard wants to free his trapped foot but Encarnacao is holding on for dear life with his legs. Dillard passes to side control. Encarnacao is looking to reverse the position. Dillard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Encarnacao knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dillard stands up and we're back to a striking position. Dillard misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Encarnacao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nice sprawl there from Dillard as Encarnacao shoots in. Dillard feints and as Encarnacao raises his hands in defense, Dillard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dillard preventing the sweep. Encarnacao is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Dillard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dillard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Encarnacao is keeping the position for now. Encarnacao is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dillard is aware though and is defending well. Dillard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Encarnacao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dillard, into his guard. Dillard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Encarnacao defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dillard is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Encarnacao has his hands clasped together but Dillard extends an breaks Encarnacao's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dillard.
