Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hellbent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Hellbent finds it's way through Diaz's defenses. Diaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hellbent throws a hook but Diaz blocks it. Decent striking displayed by Diaz there. Diaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hellbent pushes Diaz up against the cage in a clinch. Diaz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Diaz tries to pull guard but Hellbent won't allow it.

Hellbent lands a right hand. Diaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Diaz takes an elbow to the forehead. Hellbent lands with a right to the head. Hellbent is working Diaz over against the cage. Hellbent lands an elbow just above Diaz 's eye. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hellbent lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hellbent stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hellbent creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Hellbent lands a hook to the side of the head. Hellbent makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Hellbent utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Hellbent lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.

Diaz is breathing heavily. Diaz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Hellbent lands an elbow inside. A nice right hand lands inside from Hellbent. Hellbent lands a body shot in the clinch.

Hellbent lands a hook that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Hellbent turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hellbent lands a left hand.
Hellbent comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Hellbent unloads a knee to the mid-section. Diaz lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. This has been an exciting period of action! Hellbent lands a hook to the side of the head. Hellbent softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Diaz is rocked! Hellbent crunches a lovely knee into Diaz's ribcage. Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hellbent throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Diazs head. Hellbent working some nice short punches in the clinch. Hellbent dips a shoulder and cracks Diaz with a mighty uppercut! Diaz falls back against the cage and Hellbent unloads with a barrage of strikes! Diaz is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hellbent screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hank Hellbent! In his post fight interview, Hank Hellbent started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
