Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timbo Lee Key! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Theo Evelein! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee Key misses with a looping right. Evelein has his takedown stuffed and Lee Key counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lee Key controlling the action here. Evelein avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lee Key. Lee Key is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Evelein has managed to free his arm - good work. Lee Key with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Lee Key there. Evelein wants to control but Lee Key is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evelein is looking for a sweep. Lee Key is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lee Key wants to pass to mount but Evelein is defending the position. Lee Key trying to control the pace. Lee Key has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Timbo Lee Key has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Lee Key slaps away a takedown attempt from Evelein, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lee Key feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lee Key pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Evelein is keeping the position for now. Lee Key passes Evelein's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Timbo Lee Key wasn't doing enough on the ground. Evelein closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lee Key circles away. Evelein tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lee Key manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lee Key dives in and scores a takedown into Evelein's guard. Evelein controls Lee Key momentarily but Lee Key frees himself. Lee Key's corner is telling him to maintain position. Evelein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lee Key sitting in guard here, content to control. Lee Key tries to avoid it but Evelein manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee Key to the ground. Lee Key escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evelein slips under a jab from Lee Key. Lee Key gets the takedown into side control. Evelein is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lee Key's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lee Key wants to pass the guard but Evelein is defending well. Lee Key keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lee Key trying to mount his opponent but Evelein defends it. Evelein manages to get to full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Timbo Lee Key wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lee Key shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Evelein manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Key fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Evelein to the ground. Lee Key is now in Evelein's guard. Lee Key knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Evelein on the ground. Evelein is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Evelein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lee Key sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lee Key stands up and waves to Evelein to follow him. Lee Key gets a double leg takedown into Evelein's guard. Lee Key trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Timbo Lee Key overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lee Key stays in close to Evelein's body and controls the position. Evelein utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lee Key controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lee Key is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Evelein can do to turn this around?

Timbo Lee Key has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Evelein enables Lee Key to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Evelein manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lee Key might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Evelein has his foot on Lee Key's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lee Key works his way back into a safe position though. Lee Key trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee Key is stalling in the full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee Key is in close to Evelein's body, working some short punches and elbows.
