The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciganov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ameobi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ciganov lands with a hook. Ameobi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Shola Ameobi has been cut.
Ameobi shoots in and bounces Ciganov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ciganov wants to stand but Ameobi is controlling the position.
Ameobi stands up over Ciganov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ameobi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ameobi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ciganov's guard.

Ciganov is rocked!
Ameobi is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ciganov is hurt! He's hurt bad - Ameobi fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ciganov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Ameobi! Great finish!
