Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Redd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Green might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hall of Fame. Redd has chosen BIG SHIT POPPIN TI as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Redd! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Green pulls guard. Green on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Green tries to get out of the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Redd trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Redd trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Redd is one step ahead there. Green knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Redd on the ground. Green keeping moving, preventing Redd from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Erik Redd was stalling too much, according to the referee. Green moves into the clinch. Redd slowing the pace effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Redd ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Redd no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Redd is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Green takes a knee right on the jaw!

Redd fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Green gets control of Redd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Green will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Green pulls Redd in close to prevent any damage. Redd slips nicely into half guard. Green is controlling Redd's trapped leg to prevent Redd from advancing to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd wants to free his trapped foot but Green is holding on for dear life with his legs. Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Green is trying to maintain the position but Redd is very close to passing his half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Redd wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Green moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Redd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Green trying to keep a closed guard but Redd is proving a slippery customer.
Redd is pushing down on Green's leg trying to pass to half guard. Green is fighting to maintain full guard but Redd has managed to sneak the leg through. Green manages to escape and get back to his feet! Redd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Green as he jumps to the side. Danny Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Redd. Redd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Green cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Redd looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redd misses with a takedown and Green counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Green stands up over Redd, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Green trying to control but Redd is working from the bottom. Redd is working an open guard so Green takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Erik Redd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Redd doesn't succeed with the takedown and Green counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Green scores with a one two! Redd had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Green shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Redd manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Green stands up over Redd, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Green dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Green has closed the distance and engaged Redd in a clinch.
Redd wants to stall.
Green wants to break free but Redd has control.
Redd drops down looking for an ankle pick but Green pulls his leg out and moves away.
Green shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Green controlling the pace. Redd gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green wants to control from the top but Redd keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Redd working for a triangle but Green defends it easily.
Redd is breathing heavily. Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Redd swivels though and keeps the full guard. Green has gone for a leg lock! Redd slips out almost immediately though and dives into Green's guard. Green keeping moving, preventing Redd from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green trying to keep a closed guard but Redd is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green looking for a sweep. Not yet Green, not yet. Green keeping moving, preventing Redd from controlling successfully. Green controls Redd momentarily but Redd frees himself. Redd trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Danny Green wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Redd gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Green counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Green. Redd looking to control.

Redd takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Redd wants to sweep here but Green controlling him for the moment. Green looking to pass the guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Danny Green just wasn't active enough. Nice sprawl there from Green as Redd shoots in. Redd shoots and misses and Green counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Green. Danny Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Redd. Green manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Green has Redd pressed against the cage, preventing Redd from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Green is trying to push Redd away but Redd has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Redd is trying to pull guard but Green turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Green gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Redd regains guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Redd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Green showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Redd is working an open guard so Green takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Danny Green is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Green slips a jab and a cross from Redd.
And that's the end of the fight! Danny Green showed his dominance in that final round. Well Green has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
