Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vicky Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vicky Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nathan Drake!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Knox tries to score a body lock takedown but Drake shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Drake blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Knox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Drake fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Knox looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Knox is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knox drops back looking for a leg! Drake is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Drake manages to kick Knox off! Knox jumps back into Drake's guard.
Drake looking for subs off his back but Knox has passed one foot through into half guard.

Drake is trying to control but Knox manages to pass to mount!
Knox lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Knox content just to control the position here.
Drake tries to reverse the position but Knox maintains control.
Knox controlling the pace for now.
Drake is looking to improve his position but Knox isn't that keen on the idea.

Knox looking to control but Drake is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Knox landing strikes from the mount.
Drake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Drake keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Drake tries to hold on but Knox postures up.

Knox is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Knox wants to clinch.
Knox throws the kick towards the body but Drake avoids it.
Drake has Knox up against the cage in a clinch.
Knox is trying to pull guard but Drake turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Knox jumps guard and drags Drake to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Drake wants to stand and escape but instead Knox has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Drake tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Knox wants to control from the top but Drake keeps moving.
Knox is really struggling to control Drake but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Knox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drake swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Knox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Knox drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Drake dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drake throws a head kick but Knox moves out of range.
Knox circles away from the clinch attempt.
Drake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Knox counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Drake!
A nice elbow there by Knox.
Vicky Knox overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Knox lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Knox tries to control but Drake wriggling away.
Knox jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Drake is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Drake and Knox has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knox decides to stand back up. Knox steps back and let's Drake get back to his feet.

Knox throws a leg kick
and Drake connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Knox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Drake trying his best to control but Knox has mounted him.
Drake keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Knox breaks from Drake's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Knox sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Knox is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Drake can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Knox pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Drake tries to hold on but Knox postures up.
Drake is breathing heavily.
Knox can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drake is looking to escape.
Knox cracks Drake with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Knox lands a heavy elbow.
Knox controlling the pace for now.
Knox tries to control but Drake wriggling away.
Knox landing strikes, looking to finish!
Knox tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knox looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knox lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Drake hang on?
Knox tries to control but Drake wriggling away.
Knox wants to finish this one by submission but Drake is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Knox.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knox avoids the attempt from Drake to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Drake moves into the clinch successfully.
Knox has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Drake after a bit of a struggle.
Drake has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Knox avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Knox wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Drake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drake fails with the takedown
and Knox counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Knox passes into half guard.
Drake is looking for a sweep. Knox is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Drake takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Drake is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Knox has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Drake is trying to control Knox's posture. Knox takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Drake! Knox is rotating here... this could be the end... Drake is out! Knox has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
