Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Mondeux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rydolf Karel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karel has chosen Hail Czech as his entrance music. Rydolf Karel has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ronnie Mondeux's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie Mondeux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rydolf Karel! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Karel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Mondeux is trying to stand back up but Karel is controlling him
Karel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mondeux keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karel working the head and body with strikes. Mondeux tries to kick Karel off but Karel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Karel stalling. Karel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mondeux is not content to let Karel control the position. Karel stops Mondeux from getting back to his feet.
Mondeux knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karel on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mondeux's head. Karel trying to control the action but Mondeux is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karel prevents Mondeux from standing back up.
Mondeux tries to kick Karel off in order to stand up. Karel Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Mondeux pushes Karel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Karel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Karel in side control, just content to control the action for now. Karel scores with punches from side control. Mondeux tries to escape but Karel is in control. Karel is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mondeux will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Karel lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Mondeux is letting Karel control him for a moment. Karel trying to control the action but Mondeux is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karel taking a breather here. Karel cracks Mondeux with a big elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karel remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Karel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mondeux keeps working. Karel controls the position. Mondeux is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Karel asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mondeux being controlled for a moment. Mondeux on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mondeux tries to get out of the position. Karel advances nicely into full mount. Karel breaks from Mondeux's wrist control and lands an elbow. Karel controlling the pace for now. Mondeux is squirming around, avoiding Karel's attempts to control the action. You get the feeling that Mondeux really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karel controlling his opponent. Karel won't let Mondeux get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karel lands with some strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karel wants to control the pace but Mondeux is squirming around nicely. Mondeux wants to try and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rydolf Karel dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mondeux misses with a lunging right hand
and Karel counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Karel is taking a breather. Mondeux says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mondeux is looking to escape. Karel moves nicely into side control. Karel is staying tight to Mondeux's torso, preventing him from escaping. Mondeux tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Karel is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Karel gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Karel gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Karel apologises and we restart here on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big right from Mondeux misses. Karel tries to clinch but Mondeux is having none of it. Mondeux lands a really nice looking cross but Karel seems unphased.
Mondeux throws a lazy right hand but Karel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Karel tries to clinch there but Mondeux circles away.
A big left from Mondeux misses. Karel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mondeux. Jab by Mondeux. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Karel is defended easily by Mondeux. Mondeux misses with a hook
and Karel counters with a straight right hand. Mondeux swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Karel looking to score a takedown here. Mondeux is defending well but Karel drives through and ends up in Mondeux's guard. Mondeux keeping full guard, as Karel tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karel working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karel controls from within his opponent's guard. Karel wants to control from the top but Mondeux keeps moving. Karel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mondeux will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rydolf Karel wasn't active enough on the ground. Mondeux misses with an uppercut. Mondeux is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Karel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mondeux. Mondeux misses with an uppercut
and Karel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mondeux throws a hook but Karel avoids it easily. Mondeux connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Karel momentarily.

so Karel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mondeux is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Karel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mondeux keeping moving, preventing Karel from controlling successfully. Karel controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Karel looking to pass the guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rydolf Karel. Mondeux lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Mondeux throws a poor cross that misses
so Karel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karel forces his way into half guard. Karel moves into full mount! Mondeux won't be happy about that! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karel controlling the pace for now. Karel's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mondeux's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rydolf Karel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Karel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mondeux is fending him off so far but Karel persists. Nope, Mondeux circles away and we're back to standing. Karel blocks a jab. Mondeux cracks Karel with a good jab. Karel shoots in and gets a takedown into Mondeux's guard. Karel trying to move into half guard but instead Mondeux has managed to sweep! Karel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mondeux's guard. Karel working some strikes from top position. Mondeux keeping moving, preventing Karel from controlling successfully. Karel is stalling in the full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karel wants to control from the top but Mondeux keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karel prevents Mondeux from getting back to his feet. Mondeux manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mondeux throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mondeux throws a right hand that misses
and Karel counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Karel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mondeux is trying to stand. Karel controlling from the full mount. Karel looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Karel controlling the pace for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rydolf Karel. Mondeux swats away the attempt to clinch by Karel. Mondeux throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mondeux throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ronnie Mondeux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mondeux misses with an uppercut
and Karel counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mondeux!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Karel is in the full mount, landing strikes.
It looks like Ronnie Mondeux has been cut. Karel lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Mondeux is rocked! Karel looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Mondeux covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
