PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rotten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bewter Hacks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rotten comes to the cage accompanied by Perfect Strangers - Deep Purple. Hacks has chosen Here Comes The PAIN as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hacks is looking to clinch.
Hacks attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hacks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rotten counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hacks gets full guard.
Rotten trying to control the position from guard on top but Hacks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hacks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rotten is controlling him.
Hacks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rotten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hacks wants to stand up but Rotten is controlling him.

Rotten drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hacks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rotten has Hacks in his guard.
Rotten wants to stand and escape but Hacks is having none of it.
Hacks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hacks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hacks won't allow Rotten to sweep him here.
Rotten trying to keep a closed guard but Hacks is proving a slippery customer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rotten checks a low kick from Hacks.
Hacks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rotten moves in looking to clinch but Hacks pushes him off.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hacks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rotten shoots in but no luck this time.
Hacks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rotten defends it nicely.
Hacks looks gassed!
Hacks shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnny Rotten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bewter Hacks.
Rotten is looking to clinch.
Hacks misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hacks tries to sprawl but Rotten drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rotten has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rotten is working for a guillotine from mount but Hacks frees his head quite easily.
Hacks is desperately trying to improve his position but Rotten has a good base and remains in mount.
Rotten trying to control but Hacks is having none of it.
Hacks working to try and regain half guard.
Rotten takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hacks has given up his back here.
Rotten wants to control but Hacks is keeping busy.
Hacks is trying to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rotten is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hacks has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hacks is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Rotten off. It looks like it's working - Rotten slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Hacks displaying calm under pressure there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rotten moves out of range of the strikes.
Hacks misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rotten is defended easily by Hacks.
Hacks tries to bum rush Rotten with a series of wild strikes but Rotten uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rotten dodges the punch combination from Hacks.

Hacks gets a clinch.
Hacks tries to break the clinch but Rotten is controlling the position.
Hacks is trying to force a seperation but Rotten has the dominant position.
Rotten tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hacks smiles and moves away.
Hacks tries to close the distance and clinch but Rotten swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hacks misses with a head kick.
Hacks is breathing heavily.
Hacks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hacks shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rotten as he jumps to the side.
Rotten displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hacks.
Rotten tries to clinch but Hacks is having none of it.

Rotten shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rotten showed some decent athleticism there.
Rotten wants to control but Hacks is keeping him busy.

Rotten seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hacks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
