Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Columbar!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yarbourgh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Columbar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jan Columbar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Columbar rushes Yarbourgh and presses him up against the cage.
Columbar working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Columbar swings away with an uppercut that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Columbar.
Columbar misses with a hook from the clinch.

Yarbourgh tries to score a body lock takedown but Columbar shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Columbar fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Yarbourgh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Columbar just stands there and leans against the cage.

Yarbourgh is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Yarbourgh blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Yarbourgh fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Columbar is looking to take this one to the mat.
Yarbourgh's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Columbar gets through Yarbourgh's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Yarbourgh has Columbar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Columbar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Yarbourgh has picked Columbar up - he's going for a ride! Yarbourgh dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Yarbourgh wants to pass to mount but Columbar is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Columbar wants to sweep but no luck.

Yarbourgh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Columbar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Yarbourgh won't allow Columbar to sweep him here.

Columbar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Yarbourgh has his hands clasped together but Columbar extends an breaks Yarbourgh's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Columbar.

Jan Columbar was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
