Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gorgomax Aldhissla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stefan McRae!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRae checks a low kick from Aldhissla.
McRae shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aldhissla as he jumps to the side.
Aldhissla throws a head kick that misses.

McRae throws a series of punches but Aldhissla avoids them all with ease.
Aldhissla keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice takedown defense from McRae. No joy for Aldhissla on that attempt.
McRae wants to clinch up but Aldhissla keeps it at a distance.

McRae scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
McRae is staying tight to Aldhissla's torso, preventing him from escaping.
McRae trying to control the position but Aldhissla is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McRae tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Aldhissla is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
McRae has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Aldhissla shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McRae pinned against the cage. McRae gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Aldhissla is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

McRae shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Aldhissla manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Aldhissla can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McRae controls the pace.

Aldhissla is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McRae defends well.

McRae gets to his feet - Aldhissla follows without any prompting.

McRae drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McRae is looking to work some ground and pound but Aldhissla has wrist control.

McRae makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McRae not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McRae slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Aldhissla is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

McRae moves into range and clinches up with Aldhissla.

McRae has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Aldhissla clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

McRae seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Aldhissla's chin but Aldhissla turns very nicely into McRae's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Aldhissla.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stefan McRae was stalling too much, according to the referee.
The crowd cheers as Aldhissla lands an impressive looking overhand right. McRae doesn't seem phased though.
Gorgomax Aldhissla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Aldhissla looks to land a combination but McRae avoids it well.

McRae feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McRae postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

McRae seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McRae wants to free his trapped foot but Aldhissla is holding on for dear life with his legs.

McRae wants to work for an arm triangle but Aldhissla is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

McRae wants to take a breather but Aldhissla is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McRae in particular looking to stall.
Aldhissla is pressing down on McRae's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

McRae fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aldhissla sprawls well initially but McRae persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Aldhissla is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stefan McRae showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



McRae throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aldhissla tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McRae is in Aldhissla's guard.

McRae might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Aldhissla kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Aldhissla has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McRae can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McRae wants to control from the top but Aldhissla keeps moving.

Aldhissla misses with a two punch combination.

McRae gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Aldhissla has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

McRae breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stefan McRae is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
McRae keeps control of Aldhissla as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Stefan McRae comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McRae has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
