Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Maskiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Planka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maskiev comes to the cage accompanied by Berzerker. Marco Planka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Maskiev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marco Planka! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maskiev fails with a takedown attempt. Maskiev shoots for a double leg takedown but Planka sprawls well. He's pushed Maskiev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Marco Planka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maskiev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Maskiev is working for takedown but Planka is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vlad Maskiev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maskiev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maskiev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maskiev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Maskiev slips a jab from Planka. Maskiev is looking to clinch but Planka is avoiding it.
Nice takedown defense from Planka. No joy for Maskiev on that attempt. Planka throws a jab when Maskiev was well out of range. Planka throws a combination that misses and Maskiev counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Maskiev misses with a takedown attempt - Planka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Planka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maskiev counters by moving into the clinch. Maskiev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Planka is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Come on Maskiev - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maskiev lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Planka letting Maskiev take a breather here. Maskiev is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Planka is keeping busy. Planka is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Planka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Maskiev wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Planka prevents a takedown attempt there.
Planka tries for a takedown but Maskiev manages to get underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Maskiev breaks from the clinch.
Planka moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Maskiev scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Planka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maskiev pinned against the cage. Maskiev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Planka lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Maskiev falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
