Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Umberto Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pasquale Kasserman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duran comes to the cage accompanied by Hatebreed - Live for this. Umberto Duran has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran blocks a head kick by Kasserman.
Kasserman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Duran shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kasserman eats them both and turns towards Duran to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Duran looks to land a left hand but Kasserman moved out of range nicely.
Kasserman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Duran lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A big left from Duran misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Duran, as that shot connected.
Duran shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kasserman defends it nicely.

Duran closes the distance and pushes Kasserman back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kasserman swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kasserman has Duran up against the cage in a clinch.
Duran is trying to maintain a safe position but Kasserman gets an underhook and turns Duran into the cage.
Duran works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Duran throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kassermans head.
Kasserman lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Duran backwards.
Duran lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Duran digs a right hand underneath Kasserman's ribcage. Kasserman let out a lung full of air as it connected.

A left hand lands to the body for Duran.

Duran seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Kasserman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kasserman throws a quick inside leg kick.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kasserman.

Duran's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Duran steps into range and cracks Kasserman with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Kasserman flops backwards and Duran dives into his guard looking to finish!

Kasserman is rocked!

It looks like Pasquale Kasserman has been cut.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Duran drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Duran jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kasserman is still in real trouble! Can Duran finish him?
Duran stands up over Kasserman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Duran has taken the fight to the clinch.

Pasquale Kasserman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kasserman moves out of range of the strikes.
Duran swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kasserman.
Duran is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kasserman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Duran. Duran circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Duran is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Duran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Duran feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kassermans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Duran steps in with a hook that catches Kasserman right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Duran follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Kasserman looks absolutely devastated.
