Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen Starner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glen Starner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Hill! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill keeps the fight on the outside. Hill throws an overhand right that lands on Starner's shoulder, as Starner tries to avoid the shot. Hill avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hill fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hill scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sloppy strikes from Hill. Those never looked like landing. Starner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Starner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hill manages to avoid it. Hill throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Starner sees it coming and avoids it easily. Starner rushes Hill and presses him up against the cage. Hill throws a head punch that misses. Starner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hill smiles and moves away.
A jab lands there for Starner. Hill misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hill. A big right from Hill misses. Hill keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Starner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Starner being controlled here momentarily. Hill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Starner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hill keeping moving, preventing Starner from controlling successfully. Hill wants to stand up but Starner is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hill trying to control the position here. Starner trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom. Starner works over Hill with some ground and pound from guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hill looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Starner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Starner stands and throws Hill's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hill is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starner working the ground and pound from side control. Starner working the ground and pound but Hill is defending the strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starner working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Hill is working to avoid the ground and pound but Starner connects with a decent elbow. Starner fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Starner tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. You can see the frustration on Hill's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Starner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Starner tries to score with some ground and pound. Hill controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starner sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hill is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Starner in side control lands a decent elbow. Starner wants to control but Hill is keeping him busy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Starner working the strikes but Hill uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Hill wants to improve his position but Starner is controlling well.
Hill keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Starner misses with a head shot. Hill uses the momentum to regain guard. Starner wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glen Starner dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Starner moves out of range of the strikes. Glen Starner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Starner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hill avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Starner misses with a wild body shot. Starner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hill misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Starner.
Hill plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Starner fails to land the takedown. Starner tries to close the distance and clinch but Hill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hill keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hill displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Starner throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill misses with a looping right. Starner's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hill under the eye.
It looks like Bobby Hill has been cut. Starner defending well as Hill loads up on a big left hand. Hill takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Starner lands a right hook to the body.
Hill takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hill swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bobby Hill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Starner gets a clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hill. Starner goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Starner misses with the head strike.
Starner lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hill backwards. Starner tries to work over Hill's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A short right from Hill on the inside. A shot in the inside from Starner. Starner tries to throw a body punch but Hill avoids it by throwing Starner back against the cage. Starner is trying to pull guard but Hill turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glen Starner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hill avoiding damage as Starner throws knees to the body.
Starner jumps guard but Hill stands there with Starner around his waist. Starner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Starner is looking to break free of the clinch but Hill has double underhooks. Starner misses with a hook from the clinch. Starner lands a left hand.
Hill tries to break free but Starner pushes him back against the cage. Starner tries to work over Hill's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hill wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hill lands a right hand that snaps the head of Starner backwards. Hill misses with a short punch on the inside. Starner is trying to stall.
Come on Hill - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A hook to the body from Hill.
A short right from Hill. Starner blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hill is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Starner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Starner misses with a wild body shot. Glen Starner is winning the standup battle so far. Starner shoots for a double leg takedown but Hill sprawls well. He's pushed Starner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Starner tries to close the distance and clinch but Hill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Donk. Hill catches Starner right on the button with a cross. Hill tries a head kick but it misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Starner lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hill at a distance.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hill defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Starner. Hill throws a head kick but Starner moves out of range.
Hill takes a swing at Starner's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Glen Starner will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bobby Hill's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hill throws a sloppy head kick and Starner moves out of range easily. Starner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively. Excellent takedown into side control there by Starner. Hill taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hill tries to escape but Starner is in control. Starner tries to score with some ground and pound. Hill controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Hill can't do much from the bottom here. Starner scores with punches from side control. Hill is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hill struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starner creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hill sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sloppy strikes there by Starner. Glen Starner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Starner looking to control but instead Hill has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Starner trying to control from half guard but Hill is working away. Starner in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hill tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Starner!
