The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valadez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jesus avoids the head kick by Valadez.

David Valadez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Valadez shoots for a double leg takedown but Jesus sprawls well. He's pushed Valadez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
