Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Marney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Villia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marney comes to the cage accompanied by Cant stop me now. David Marney has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Marney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Villia! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marney keeps the fight on the outside. Marney throws a lazy uppercut
and Villia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Villia tries to clinch up but Marney circles away and keeps his distance. Villia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Marney throws an off balance right hand
and Villia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Villia. Marney breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Marney will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Villia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marney swats him away and circles back towards the center. Marney falls off balance throwing a combination
and Villia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Marney throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Villia counters with a nice body shot. Left hook, right uppercut from Marney. Marney misses with a left hand and Villia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Villia sees it coming and avoids it easily. Villia steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marney. Marney throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Villia counters by clinching up. Villia wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Villia will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Marney up against the cage. Villia looking for a takedown. Villia tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Villia is looking to break free of the clinch but Marney has double underhooks. A left hand lands to the body for Marney.

and Villia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Villia drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Marney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Villia counters with a three punch combo that has Marney backing up. Marney nods at Villia to acknowledge the strikes. Marney is breathing heavily. Marney misses with a few strikes there.
Villia is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Marney rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Villia counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Villia shoots in but Marney avoids the takedown attempt easily. Marney defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Villia. David Marney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Villia. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marney misses with an uppercut
and Villia makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Marney swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Villia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The fight moves into the clinch position. Villia wants to break free but Marney has control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marney misses the jab. Villia has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Villia avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Villia tries to close the distance and clinch but Marney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice defenses there by Villia. Nice sprawl there from Marney as Villia shoots in. Villia with a nice cross. Marney throws a nice looking combination but Villia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. David Marney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Villia looks for a takedown but Marney sprawls well. That was a close round but I would say that David Marney will probably get the nod. That's time! Marney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Marney will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Marney trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Villia manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Marney knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Villia on the ground. Marney is looking to stand up but Villia isn't so interested in that idea. Marney controls Villia momentarily but Villia frees himself. Anthony Villia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Villia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Marney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Villia in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Villia won't allow Marney to get back to his feet. Villia wants to control from the top but Marney keeps moving. Villia showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anthony Villia wasn't active enough on the ground. Villia lands with a nice body punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Villia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Marney has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
