Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deuce Bigalow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bigalow tries to clinch up.
Bigalow fails with the takedown.
Bigalow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bigalow wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Marx as Bigalow shoots in.
Marx scoring well with a low kick there.
Marx blocks a head kick by Bigalow.
Marx circles away from the clinch attempt
and Marx counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Deuce Bigalow has been cut.
Bigalow fails with a takedown attempt.
Pedro Marx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deuce Bigalow.
Marx lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bigalow at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marx scores with a jab. Bigalow acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Marx. Bigalow shrugs it off though.

Marx changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bigalow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Marx decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bigalow to his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marx controlling the position from side mount.
Marx throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ground and pound from Marx seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Bigalow wants to get back to his feet.
Marx is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bigalow has escaped the position, nice work there.
Marx moves into full mount!
Bigalow is looking to get to half guard.
Bigalow reaches up to try and control the position but Marx seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bigalow rolls and tries to escape and now Marx has his back!
Marx tries to get the hooks in deep but Bigalow pushed the leg off.

Marx is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bigalow has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Bigalow's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bigalow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Marx lands a shot to the head.
Bigalow is in bad spot here.
Bigalow turns into Marx and is now in his guard.
Marx wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bigalow trying to control the position from guard on top but Marx is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bigalow scoring with some ground and pound.
Bigalow wants to control from the top but Marx keeps moving.
Bigalow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marx. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bigalow wants to stand and escape but instead Marx has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bigalow controls Marx momentarily but Marx frees himself.
Marx engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Marx dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Deuce Bigalow's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marx shoots in for a takedown but Bigalow shows good takedown defense.
Marx lands with a good body shot.
Marx with a poor takedown
and Bigalow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marx's guard.
Bigalow looking to sit in guard and control but Marx gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bigalow is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marx defends well.
Bigalow is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bigalow looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bigalow is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bigalow can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bigalow wants to control but Marx passes easily into half guard.
Marx uses his free foot to push down on Bigalow's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bigalow.
Marx takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bigalow is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Marx turns him over and now has his back.
Marx is hanging on to Bigalow's back as he tries to escape.
Bigalow is keeping busy.
Bigalow trying to control the action but Marx just sinks the hooks in.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marx is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Bigalow has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Marx has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Bigalow taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Marx doesn't care though - he's delighted!
