Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Diablos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Corke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alan Corke has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Manuel Diablos's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manuel Diablos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alan Corke!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diablos dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corke. That did some damage!
Corke stuffs the takedown attempt from Diablos. Diablos gets slowly back to his feet.
Corke showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Diablos.
Diablos throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Alan Corke has been cut.
Diablos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Corke counters with a nice double leg into side control. Diablos won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Corke looks up at the clock and then as Diablos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Corke smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Diablos pushes Corke away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Corke gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Diablos is not content to let Corke control the position.

Corke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diablos defends it well.

Corke is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diablos is just riding it out for now. Corke eventually gives up the hold.

Corke drops back looking for a leg! Diablos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diablos manages to kick Corke off! Corke jumps back into Diablos's guard.
Corke lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Corke postures up in Diablos's guard and throws a big left but Diablos blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corke drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Diablos dives on top into guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Corke shoots for a double leg takedown but Diablos sprawls well. He's pushed Corke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corke wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
