Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tora Ropez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maro Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ropez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ambrosia. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tora Ropez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maro Santos! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ropez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Ropez as Santos shoots in. Santos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Maro Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ropez circles away from the clinch attempt.

Santos looks for a takedown but Ropez sprawls well. Tora Ropez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maro Santos. Santos on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Santos scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ropez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is looking to take a break and control but Ropez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ropez defending against the ground and pound. Santos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Santos remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ropez keeps working. Santos postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ropez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Santos tries for a kimura but Ropez is defending well.

Santos sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Santos trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ropez in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Santos is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ropez is surviving well by controlling Santos's body position as best he can. Santos looking to control but Ropez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ropez lunges at Santos with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Santos's hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ropez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Santos misses with a takedown attempt - Ropez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Santos takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Let's see what he's got on the ground. Santos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Santos is looking for a kimura but Ropez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Santos to get the leverage. Santos works his foot free and advances to mount. Santos controlling his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tora Ropez will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ropez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Santos on the wrong end of a nice jab. A combination from Ropez does no damage. Santos lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Santos passes into half guard. Santos wants to take a breather but Ropez is having none of it. Santos is trying to work for a kimura but Ropez is defending well.

Santos blinks but takes it well. Santos scores a takedown into full mount! Santos sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Santos is working for a guillotine from mount but Ropez frees his head quite easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Maro Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Santos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
