Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ilmari Laine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Nasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ilmari Laine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Nasty! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laine takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Laine on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Nasty throws a wild body kick that Laine sees coming a mile off. Laine takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nasty changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nasty misses with a takedown attempt and Laine counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nasty won't allow Laine to pass to mount. Nasty is not content to let Laine control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nasty keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Laine is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nasty keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laine is trying to control the action in half guard but Nasty is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nasty has one foot on Laine's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Laine. Nice sprawl there from Nasty as Laine shoots in. Nasty fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Laine has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ilmari Laine. That's going to take a lot out of him. Laine gets tackled into the cage by Nasty. Nasty maintains the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasty tries to break free but Laine pushes him back against the cage. Nasty has had enough of the clinch but Laine keeps him there for the moment. Nasty breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nasty leaves Laine with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Laine on the wrong end of a nice hook. Nasty fails with a takedown attempt. Nasty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nasty gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Laine tries to free his leg and advance position but Nasty is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nasty has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Laine has passed into side control.
Laine lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Laine postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nasty can do anything to dispel that myth. Laine working the head with strikes. Nasty tries to improve position but can't. Nasty is not content to let Laine control the position. You can see the frustration on Nasty's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Laine landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laine cracks Nasty with a big right hand but Nasty just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The strikes coming from Laine are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Laine landing strikes. Laine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Laine trying to control the action but Nasty is working from the bottom. Laine lands some shots froms side control. Laine trying to control the action but Nasty is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Laine lands a decent elbow from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ilmari Laine dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Laine shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nasty as he jumps to the side. Laine darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nasty pushes Laine off looking to stand but Laine dives back in and keeps control.
Laine is looking to advance position but Nasty won't allow it. Laine lands with a punch from half guard. Laine trying to pass the guard but Nasty defending well. Nasty is refusing to be controlled, as Laine sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laine prevents Nasty from improving his position. Laine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nasty keeps working. Laine prevents Nasty from improving his position. Ilmari Laine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nasty is trying to stand back up but Laine is controlling him
Nasty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Laine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Laine wants to control but Nasty is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Laine.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laine takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Laine working Nasty over with strikes. Laine wants to pass to mount but Nasty is defending the position. Laine thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Laine uses his free foot to push down on Nasty's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nasty. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Laine working for a submission but Nasty is keeping him at bay. Laine has hold of Nasty's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nasty manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Laine lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine is landing with some decent strikes but Nasty is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Laine can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nasty is looking to escape. Laine lands with some strikes. Nasty wants to control but Laine is having none of it. Laine working away from the top, dropping strikes. Nasty is in a horrible position here. Laine smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Nasty is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laine postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Nasty badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Laine around the waist but Laine pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Laine is the winner by TKO! Laine jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ilmari Laine!
