Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamir Amini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamir Amini will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joel Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamir Amini! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots in but no luck this time. Amini rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Amini gets a trip takedown into half guard. Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Amini with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Amini wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Amini is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amini wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Silva is looking to improve his position.
Amini stalling away here and it's allowed Silva to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Silva holds on and takes a little breather. Amini is stalling in the full guard. Amini throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amini pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now. Silva pulls Amini in close to his closed guard and prevents Amini from doing any damage or advancing position. Amini trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Silva keeping moving, preventing Amini from controlling successfully. Amini must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva wants to sweep here but Amini controlling him for the moment. Amini looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Silva being controlled here momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamir Amini dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Amini keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Joel Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva shoots for a takedown but Amini saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Amini fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Amini persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Amini is looking to stall here but Silva recovers full guard. Amini trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jamir Amini just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amini clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage. Amini breaks from the clinch.
Silva with a lazy takedown attempt so Amini counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joel Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amini wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Amini looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amini not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Amini has control of Silva's left arm, preventing Silva from doing any damage. Silva postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amini swivels though and keeps the full guard. Amini trying to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva has his takedown stuffed and Amini counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Amini forces his way into half guard. Amini is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amini is tying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Amini wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position. Amini is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamir Amini showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silva fails with the takedown and Amini decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Silva seems keen to control Amini's posture. Amini slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Amini throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Amini wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva trying to remain calm as Amini controls from the top position. Amini tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Jamir Amini has got the better of the ground game so far. Amini trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Amini decides to take the fight back to the feet. Amini has his takedown stuffed and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Amini's guard. Amini looking to control but Silva passes into half guard.
Amini has one foot on Silva's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva shoots in and bounces Amini off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Amini bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard. Silva keeping moving, preventing Amini from controlling successfully. Amini looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amini trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Amini wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Silva is controlling Amini's posture.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jamir Amini. Well Amini has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
