PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Martin Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suzuki has chosen Codename 47 as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thiago Suzuki was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Cash.
Suzuki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
No luck for Cash with that takedown attempt.
Suzuki throws a low kick but Cash avoids it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Suzuki. Cash does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cash shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Suzuki but Suzuki pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cash throws a head kick but Suzuki moves out of range.
Cash tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Suzuki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suzuki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cash has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cash and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
