Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cray Geli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cray Geli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rick Peters!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Peters. No joy for Geli on that attempt.
Peters fails with a takedown attempt.
Geli misses with a takedown attempt - Peters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Geli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peters's waist but Peters gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Geli off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cray Geli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Peters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Geli swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Geli throws a lazy right hand but Peters sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Geli throws a low kick but Peters moves out of range easily.
Peters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Geli but Geli pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peters misses with a takedown attempt - Geli sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Peters throws a front kick aimed at Geli's knee but Geli avoids it well.
Peters shoots in for a double leg but Geli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Peters shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Geli as he avoids it easily.
Peters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Geli fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Peters manages to avoid it.
Geli throws a head kick but Peters moves out of range.

Geli takes the fight into the clinch.
Geli misses with the head strike.
Geli misses with a body punch.

Geli pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Geli lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Peters tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Geli manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Geli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peters swivels and escapes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Geli has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peters is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Peters can't get the takedown.
Geli tries to pull guard but Peters holds him up against the cage and eventually Geli drops back down to his feet.

Geli is trying to drag Peters to the mat but Peters just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Peters drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Geli gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Geli throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Peters.

Peters gets underhooks to prevent Geli's takedown attempt.
Geli is looking to take this one to the mat.
A frustrated look appears on Geli's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Geli has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Peters after a bit of a struggle.
Peters is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Geli pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Peters manages to break the clinch.

Peters forces Geli back against the cage and clinches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Geli jumps guard but Peters turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Geli is looking to break free of the clinch but Peters has double underhooks.
Peters is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Geli to keep the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cray Geli will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Peters sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Geli's guard.
Peters thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Peters decides to stand and escape the position.

Geli stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Geli keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

I would just about give that final round to Rick Peters.
I think Peters has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
