Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steven Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirk Lohan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lohan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
The fighters circling - Lohan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lohan misses with a two punch combination.
Lohan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Steven Jones has been cut.
Jones scoring well with a low kick there.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Lohan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Kirk Lohan has been cut.
Lohan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lohan but Lohan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A big left from Lohan misses.
Lohan loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lohan avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lohan circles away.

Lohan throws a right and a left that both miss.
A punch combination from Lohan misses.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Lohan shows good takedown defense.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lohan, as that shot connected.
Kirk Lohan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones feints and then cracks Lohan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lohan down.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lohan is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Lohan circles away and we're back to standing.
Lohan misses with a looping right.
Lohan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jones has a takedown stuffed.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Nice jab there from Lohan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lohan lands a two punch combo.

Lohan gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lohan wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jones throws a big right hand that misses.

Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lohan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jones throwing strikes from guard but Lohan blocks nicely.
Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lohan is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.
Lohan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lohan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lohan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him.

Jones distracts Lohan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lohan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jones scoring with some ground and pound.
Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Lohan has wrist control.
Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Lohan has his feet on Jones's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Kirk Lohan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A head kick misses from Jones.
A big left from Lohan misses.
Lohan blocks a head kick by Jones.
Lohan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.


Steven Jones's cut is getting worse.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lohan as he avoids it easily.
Lohan looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Nice shot by Lohan.
Lohan throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones staying out of range there.
Lohan cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Lohan moves out of range easily.
Lohan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sloppy strikes from Lohan. Those never looked like landing.
Lohan cracks Jones with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


Steven Jones's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Lohan throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirk Lohan dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!


Lohan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jones has time to react.


Jones is rocked!
Lohan is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Lohan shuts the power down on Jones. Lights out, game over! Lohan is your winner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kirk Lohan!
After the fight, Kirk Lohan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
