Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janek shoots in but Akua avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Akua thumps Janek with a low kick.
Janek fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Janek walks into a straight right hand from Akua.
Jason Akua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akua throws a right and a left that both miss.
Janek checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Akua wants to improve his position but Janek is controlling well.

Akua is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Akua wants to control but Janek is keeping busy.

Janek trying to control the action but Akua just sinks the hooks in.

Akua looking to break Janek's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Janek remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Akua will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Akua is looking for a choke. Janek gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Janek manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Janek's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Akua tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Janek throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Akua can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Janek controls the pace.
Janek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Akua works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Akua looking to hit a scissor sweep but Janek is one step ahead there.
Akua keeping moving, preventing Janek from controlling successfully.
Liam Janek has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Akua scores with a push kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Janek fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Janek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akua displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Janek.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Liam Janek will probably get the nod.

Akua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Janek's calf.
Janek fails with the takedown
and Akua counters with a thumping low kick.
No luck for Janek with that takedown attempt.
Janek shoots in and bounces Akua off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Akua controls Janek momentarily but Janek frees himself.
Janek has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Akua to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Janek is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Akua pulls down on the head and he's put Janek to sleep! This one is all over!
