The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green shoots in but Winterburg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Green wants to clinch.
Winterburg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Green swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Green will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Winterburg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Winterburg is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Winterburg closes the distance looking to clinch

and Green decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Winterburg's guard.

Winterburg is staying active underneath Green, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Green winds up and cracks Winterburg with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Winterburg's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Green connects with a nice short shot to Winterburg's temple.

Green working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Winterburg pushes Green off looking to stand but Green dives back in and keeps control.

Green postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Winterburg looks a forlorn figure.

Green has isolated one of Winterburg's arms. Winterburg looking to fight him off but Green twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
