Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Brock Nasri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cain Marko!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Nasri finds it's way through Marko's defenses.
Nasri moves in looking to clinch but Marko pushes him off.

Nasri moves into the clinch.
Nasri is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Marko tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Nasri jumps into guard, dragging Marko to the mat.
Marko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Nasri keeping moving, preventing Marko from controlling successfully.
Marko wants to pass the guard but Nasri is keeping the position.
Marko throws a big elbow that misses.

Marko slips nicely into half guard.

Marko throws a strike but Nasri rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Nasri postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nasri loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Marko is pulling down on Nasri's head. It's preventing any offense from Nasri, at least for the moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marko looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nasri puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nasri distracts Marko with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Nasri forces his way into half guard.
Nasri is thwarting Marko's attempts to control the position.
Marko wants to get back to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nasri is trying to control. Marko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Marko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Nasri will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Marko looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marko wants to improve his position but instead Nasri has moved into half guard.
Marko is pressing down on Nasri's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nasri fails to land with a series of punches.
Nasri fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Marko takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nasri swinging wildly here.
Marko throws a series of punches but Nasri moves out of range.
Brock Nasri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Marko misses with a body punch.
Nasri is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marko pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Nasri is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Marko is defending well.

Nasri tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Nasri. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nasri has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Marko after a bit of a struggle.
Nasri jumps guard but Marko stands there with Nasri around his waist. Nasri gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Marko manages to break the clinch.

Nasri gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nasri is working for takedown but Marko is calmly controlling the position for now.
Marko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nasri has him pressed against the cage.
Nasri is trying to pull guard but Marko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Nasri drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marko gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Marko turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marko manages to end up in side control.
Nasri takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Marko lands a nice forearm strike.

Nasri wants to get back to his feet.
Marko throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Nasri works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Marko stops Nasri from getting back to his feet.
Marko not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Marko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Marko wants to take a breather but Nasri is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marko landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Nasri is not content to let Marko control the position.
Marko throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Nasri to regain full guard.
Marko lands a couple of elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nasri was well out of range. Poor timing from Marko.

Nasri ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nasri tries to close the distance and clinch but Marko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marko throws out a loose jab but Nasri uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nasri doesn't manage to clinch there - Marko circles away.
Brock Nasri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nasri tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marko swivels and escapes.
Nasri lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Horrible takedown by Marko or perhaps it was just good defense by Nasri which made him look bad.

Nasri has managed to clinch.
Nasri wants to take the fight to the mat but Marko manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Marko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Marko throws a shot from downtown. Nasri moves away and avoids it.
Nasri has his takedown stuffed
and Marko counters with a left to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Nasri. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nasri steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marko.
Marko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nasri tries to move into range but Marko moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nasri is aggressively charging in as Marko backs up avoiding any damage. Marko tosses out a jab and Nasri runs right into it face first! Nasri is out cold! Marko dropped down on all fours and is barking in Nasri's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cain Marko!
