3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dirt McGirt! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGirt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dunne, pushing him back against the cage. Dunne ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dunne no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. McGirt throws a big elbow that misses. McGirt chips away with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGirt throwing strikes but missing. Dunne has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McGirt should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Dunne has tightened it up now! McGirt should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bloodlet Dunne! Bloodlet Dunne is the new light heavyweight champion!
