Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buba Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kris Davis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Buba Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kris Davis! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva closes the distance but Davis moves to the side and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away. Davis circles away from the clinch attempt and Davis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Davis stalls. Davis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Silva after a bit of a struggle. Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch. Davis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Silvas head. Silva tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Davis avoids it. Silva is trying to maintain a safe position but Davis gets an underhook and turns Silva into the cage. Davis has Silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Davis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silva tumbling to the mat - Davis dives into Silva's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Davis passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davis in particular looking to stall. Davis is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage. Davis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva is in trouble now - Davis has advanced to mount! Davis controlling the position easily from mount. Davis looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis content just to control the position here. Davis is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Silva! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Davis has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Davis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Davis manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Silva looks to clinch and Davis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva trying to land knees to the body.
Silva is trying to force a seperation but Davis has the dominant position. Silva tries to break free but Davis pushes him back against the cage. Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Davis dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A head kick misses from Silva. Davis is looking to land body kicks. Davis tries to land a front kick but Silva steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Silva moves to clinch but Davis breaks away and Davis counters by moving into the clinch. Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Davis leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Silva trying to land knees to the body.
Davis is looking to break free of the clinch but Silva has double underhooks. Davis pulls guard successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.
Davis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Davis prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis stands up from Silva's guard - Davis perhaps looking for a knockout. Silva tries to clinch up and Davis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Silva is trying to force a seperation but Davis has the dominant position. Davis pulls guard successfully.
Silva is fighting to break Davis's control of his arms but Davis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Davis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva! Davis thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis controlling his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Let's hope that Davis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis throwing strikes here but Silva is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Davis controlling the pace for now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Davis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis looking for a guillotine from mount but Silva is having none of it. Davis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Davis working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Davis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Silva is trying to break free. Davis has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Silva taking a breather. Davis is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage. Davis decides to pull guard. Davis pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Silva closes the distance but Davis moves to the side and Davis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Silva is trying to break the clinch but Davis is controlling him. Silva can't break the clinch.
Silva wants to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva working Davis over with knees to the body. Silva looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Davis just misses with a elbow thrown towards Silva's brow. Silva prevents a takedown attempt there.
The referee calls for Davis to work.
Silva tries a knee to the head but Davis blocks it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Davis presses Silva against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Davis pushes off an throws an elbow but Silva leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Davis is looking for a takedown. Buba Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Davis. Silva tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Davis avoids it. Davis successfully pulls guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Davis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Davis passes into half guard. Davis frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Davis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Davis working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay. Silva taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis controlling from the full mount. Davis has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Buba Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kris Davis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Davis throwing strikes here but Silva is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Kris Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
