And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Samson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hicks backs up against the cage.
It looks like Dante Hicks has been cut.
Hicks tries to clinch up.
Samson punishes Hicks's body with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Samson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hicks.
Samson swats away the attempt to clinch by Hicks.
Hicks scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Samson throws a body punch but Hicks moves out of range.
Hicks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Samson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hicks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hicks wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Samson dips to his left and cracks Hicks with an uppercut!
That has opened up Dante Hicks's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hicks tries to clinch there but Samson circles away.
Samson thows a body shot but no joy.
Hicks misses with the combination.
Hicks dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Samson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Samson throws the left hand but Hicks avoids the punch easily.

Hicks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Samson as he avoids it easily.
Long Haired Samson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Hicks.
Hicks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Hicks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Samson was well out of range. Poor timing from Hicks.
Long Haired Samson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Samson slips under a jab from Hicks.
Samson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Samson is looking to wear down Hicks with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hicks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Samson.
Samson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hicks.
Hicks gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Samson decides to pull guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Samson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hicks manages to get himself to full guard.

Samson postures up in Hicks's guard and throws a big left but Hicks blocks it.
Hicks controls Samson momentarily but Samson frees himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hicks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hicks tries a head kick but it misses.
Dante Hicks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Samson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hicks misses with a wild body shot.
Hicks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Samson is trying to maintain a safe position but Hicks gets an underhook and turns Samson into the cage.
Samson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hicks walks away with a smile on his face. Samson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hicks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Samson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hicks looks to land a combination. Samson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Long Haired Samson is winning the standup battle so far.
Hicks jabs Samson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Samson loads up on a big right hand but Hicks slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Samson lands a jab.
Hicks smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hicks tries for a takedown but Samson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Samson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Samson swinging wildly here.
Hicks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Samson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hicks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Samson but Samson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Samson gets caught flat footed, as Hicks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Samson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hicks is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hicks is bucking up trying to escape but Samson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The cut above Dante Hicks's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dante Hicks's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Long Haired Samson!
