The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Smith throws a right hand that Rosario ducks under and follows up with a left that Rosario also avoids with ease.
Smith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Smith feints a jab promting Rosario to slip. Smith then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rosario slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Smith misses with a double jab.

and Rosario counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Aaron Smith has been cut.
Rosario showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.

Smith scores with a hook.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Rosario bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rosario is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smith gets a double leg takedown into Rosario's guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Smith drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Smith seems to have locked his on tight now - Rosario screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Smith, as he picks up the win!
