The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. Silva moves away and avoids it.
Silva moves out of range as Ryan strikes.
Ryan waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Silva.
Ryan missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ryan throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A choreographed right hand from Ryan misses the target.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Silva!
Silva throws a right hand that Ryan ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryan also avoids with ease.
Ryan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva counters with a two punch combo.

Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ryan loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ryan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ryan is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Ryan's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Jake Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ryan missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ryan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ryan throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.

Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Oooh a lovely combination from Ryan sends Silva down but not out. Ryan dives into side control looking to finish.

Ryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ryan has knee on belly momentarily but Silva bucks him off and regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ryan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ryan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ryan misses with an uppercut.
Silva slips under a jab from Ryan.
Ryan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Silva ducks under a wild hook from Ryan.
Ryan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Ryan.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Silva in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Silva looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ryan lands a right hand from hell, dropping Silva. Ryan pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
