The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes blocks a head kick by Marin.
Marin throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Menezes.
Marin connects with a looping right hand.
Menezes shoots in looking for a takedown but Marin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Menezes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marin lands with a slapping head kick.
Marin lands with a shot to the body.
Marin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Menezes.
Marin scores with a push kick.
Nice sprawl there from Marin as Menezes shoots in.
Menezes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Menezes is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marin misses with a head kick.
Marin throws a head kick that misses.
Marin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Menezes's head.
Marin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Menezes.

Marin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Menezes.
Whack! Marin lands a heavy head kick that drops Menezes. The ref tackles Marin to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Menezes was done.
